On the other hand it also works to some degree,       so it's not all negative. It's just that apple intentionally makes many       things very hard. I also have an android device and though there are       complaints that would apply to both android and apple (like all the       useless crap apps that primarily seem intended to rip people off), in       many respects android does many things much better, like how       comparatively easy it is       to access the file system.       You may feel that it works well for you, but perhaps you are simply not       a very demanding user and you are easily satisfied because you are       unaware of what's possible and to what degree apple obstructs people       from exploiting the full potential of information technology.              The future still looks bright with developments in AI and hopefully tech       tyrants like apple and google will soon be consigned to the recycle bin       of historical curiosities, once AI revolutionizes information       technology. At that point we can all agree to get rid of a       pseudo-capitalist system with fake competition (given all the monopoly       power big corporations have with neither transparency nor       accountability) that drives humanity to the brink of self-annihilation       by producing way too much useless garbage. We're already living in the       age of abundance with all the culture freely accessible online.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
