   First I tried installing this but it failed on my privacy hardened system:   
       
      
   So then I installed this which opened with the first indication of the   
   issue we spoke about earlier that Google is doing what Apple does.

    "Google has announced that, starting in 2026/2027, all apps on certified   
     Android devices will require the developer to submit personal identity   
     details directly to Google. Since the developers of this app do not   
     agree to this requirement, this app will no longer work on certified   
     Android devices after that time."   
       
      
   Interestingly, F-Droid apparently does not enforce Google's policies, so, I   
   "think" (maybe?) it will still work for me since I don't rely on Google   
   Play services. But I'm not sure what the implications are.   
      
   Do you get the same message when you first run that F-Droid app on Android?
