   Unlike in Germany, Spain doesn't treat good customer service as an unfair   
   business practice, but a quick search on Spanish policies show they suck.   
      
   While Spain allows USA companies (e.g., Costco or REI or Amazon) to offer   
   the same liberal return policies to Spanish consumers as in the USA, for   
   Spanish companies, the return policies typically suck compared to USA   
   companies who do business in Spain.   
      
   Minimum Spanish Return Policies are Legally Regulated and Conservative.   
      
   EU-mandated 14-day cooling-off period: For online and distance sales,   
   consumers can return goods within 14 days without giving a reason.   
      
   In-store returns: Not legally required unless the item is defective; return   
   policies are at the retailer's discretion   
      
   Return shipping: Often paid by the customer unless the item is faulty.   
      
   Refunds: Typically issued only if the product is unused and in original   
   packaging.   
      
   Overall, customer service in Europe sucks compared to that of the USA, but   
   if anyone out there wishes to claim otherwise, just name the country &   
   we'll compare.
