All you have to be is 18 to vote. And a citizen. That's it.              > Freedom for kids to go to school without fear of being murdered en masse.              You are unduly influenced by the news media.              > Freedom for teachers to actually teach a sane and sensible curriculum.              WTF? The USA is the number one destination for international students       because of its universities, research opportunities, and global reputation.              > Freedom for women to not be fetishised by old men on what they can or       > cannot do with their bodies.              You don't understand that a news story is news because it's new.       Did you hear what happened to the Mexican (female) president?       Finland and Latvia stand out as European countries with some of the highest       rates of violence against women where Latvia has the highest femicide rate.              Sweden, Hungary, Denmark & Luxembourg also report well-above-average rates       of violence against women. Look it up. The EU average is 33% of women       report violence since age 15.              > Equal access to healthcare should be a human right.              I agree with you on that. It's where socialism comes into play.              > Freedom of workers from being exploited by billionaire-owned megacorps. And       > then being gaslit.              Methinks you harbor a grudge against Apple perhaps?              > Freedom from fear of being murdered by police who then face literally no       > repercussions. Unless it becomes an international embarrassment.              Police abuse their privileges all over the world, but at least in the USA,       when it becomes known, that's the end of it for them. They're prosecuted.              > Freedom to criticise the state, even if is being led by an orange,       > thin-skinned man baby.              WTF? What news do you read? I can criticize the government all I want.       (Not that it will do any good.)              > Free speech and expression. Since January the US has increasingly limited       > free speech.              WTF? Name one case that made it to the courts and free speech was denied.       Name just one.              > Freedom for victims of crime to see justice be done regardless of how rich       > the accused is or how many connections they have. In any other developed       > country Trump would have been in jail years ago.              You hate Trump. That's fine. I'm ok with that.       You never heard me say anything good about him.              But Bashar al-Assad was in power even after committing war crimes as is       Vladimir Putin but you're right. Trump shouldn't be in power.              Don't blame me. I didn't vote for Harris nor for Trump.       Neither deserves to be president in my book.              > You'll find all the above in most of Europe.              Given you only seem to believe the news, you have to remember it makes news       because it doesn't normally happen. It's called "man bites dog" journalism.              If it's in the news, it actually doesn't happen all that much.       That's how the news works.              Still, my point is all of Europe would be speaking either Russian or German       if the USA hadn't protected them for the past hundred years.              There's something very wrong with Europe that way, and it has been so for       centuries. Still, Native Americans can say the same thing about the USA.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
