     Just check what your Spelling Language is set to and if incorrect,
   change it or/and Download More Dictionaries.

     Im my stone-age (60.9.0) version: > Tools -> Options -> 'Composition'
   tab -> 'Spelling' sub-tab -> Language:.

     Mine is set to 'English (United States)'.

     If you do 'Download More Dictionaries', you get an extra 'Dictionaries
   & Language ...' tab which keeps spinning until you close the 'Options'
   popup, a bit counter-intuitive.

     Well, there are worse addictions. Not *much* worse :-), but still.
