I think I remember the 3 free articles. When webpages do that, I never
know if it's 3 forever, or 3 each month.

   >do was erase the cookies they planted and I got three more free

The other plan is to get a new computer for each 3 times you use the
   url.

It was quite a financial effort when I signed up for NYT.com, or
whatever, but I'm thrifty most of the rest of the time. (which is
   exactly what made it hard.)

And they they nag me on the web to sign up for more than I've got.
Today it's "Add three people to your subscription.
One account. Four individual logins. Savings for all." which might be a
good idea (although most people would just share their userid/password.
   Maybe somehow they prevent that?)
But usually it nags me to get more than news. Heck, all I want is news
so why are they nagging me when I pay them so much. I complained once,
   LOL. -

   >articles. Finally they got wise to us cheaters and closed the loophole.
