   I'd been using the 3.5mm headphone jack for  the speakers. After one   
   pipewore update the system still saw the hardware but the audio   
   configuration only showed the default (no) selection. I screwed around far   
   too long trying to get it to work. It would work with my Bluetooth earbuds   
   so I bought a set of BT speakers.   
      
   The Fedora box didn't have the problem, just Ubuntu.
