   Remember what I’m talking about here: these proprietary platforms are   
   unable to replicate Linux functionality, so they have to resort to   
   “borrowing” the actual Linux code itself, lock, stock and barrel.   
      
   Those examples you gave are of Linux itself replicating functionality   
   without copying proprietary code, and in some cases doing it better   
   than the original!
