Right now, only principled people are making the move to       Linux. Soon, even those without any knowledge on how to change operating       systems are at least going to inquire about an alternative. Like I said in       another post, a good chunk will likely go to Apple. Nevertheless, a lot of       people will stick to the PC platform either because they can customize it       to their liking, before it costs less, because there is more variety of       hardware or because they want to hold onto some old stock.
