That isn't what I wrote. My lacking any concern for something you did
doesn't mean that I'm not a caring person. In your case, I means I don't
much care for trolls or trolling. Which is what you're doing in this thread.

   > But you are working on a project similar to mine:

I'm not working on anything. I already finished them. I have a CLI and GUI
version of the same tool basically which allows me to pull full posts with
   ease whenever I like.

   > Yours is CLI where mine is GUI. Excellent.

Incorrect, bud. I have both. I posted two scripts. One does CLI the other GUI
   (it's a right click job)

If you could read for context accurately you'd notice how off the mark your
   response is above...

Actually, I've published a script for CLI usage and one for right click
integration into Thunar. So, I have both options. I agree, there's nothing
wrong with having multiple ways in which to get something done.

The right click script I shared is also very easy to use and simple to add
to the system if you want to add the functionality. Simply c/p between the
cut marks. Save it into an empty text file, use the name provided in the
instructions and follow the rest of them.

   > Sure. And why I have my similar scripts. Not sure why you feel so
   > insecure you feel you need to justify it to me when I clearly get it
   > (and did it already).

Stop projecting your nonsensical bullshit onto me, Snit. I'm not the one who
responded and tried to compare your script to anything I posted. I have CLI
and GUI functionality for pulling MIDs as I desire now.

I didn't hijack any of your threads and plug either of the scripts I shared.
That's what you went and did with me though. Instead of creating a new
thread and advertising your slop there. No worries though, you've never
demonstrated any understanding of usenet etiquette.

If you happen to be using a server that requires authentication, adding two
   lines becomes necessary:
   These two lines

   echo "AUTHINFO USER your_username"
   echo "AUTHINFO PASS your_password"

must be added above this section of code

   echo "ARTICLE $MID"
     sleep 1
     echo "QUIT"

And now it can support authentication. It shouldn't be any trouble for
someone to take said information and make the appropriate additions to the
CLI script if they need to do so.

   > I made mine so it was easy to use... made it so someone like David could

The instructions to create and use the ones I've posted are straight forward.
I'd be very surprised to learn that David was unable to follow them if he
wanted to add the functionality they offer. With the ones I shared,
Permissions are only necessary to give one time and that's permission to
   treat it as an executable.

   > Awesome. Great work.

Get off your knees. I'm not Joel and I'm not into that.

   > I am not likely to install it on Linux, but would love to see a quick video
   > of you having it work. Maybe even one of the full install, though
   > your description is fine.

It's a text file and a modification to a configuration file. Nothing is
actually being installed. There's no need for any videos in this case. That
would be a gross waste of megabytes for nothing.

I really don't care why/how/who you made yours for, Snit. This isn't a
competition from my POV. I decided I wanted a couple of easy ways to pull
MIDs and now I have them. They worked out very well for my needs so I
thought I'd share them with others who might also benefit. It's as simple as
that. I'm finished with this conversation as far as you're concerned.
