Let them broadcast their garbage on low-wattage UHF       stations in their cities; networks shouldn't humour them in any way.              > * trashy reality TV is a good outlet for some people, which is why       > 'Jersey Shore' was so popular. I've had students in the past tell me that they want to be       like the vapid morons they saw on such reality shows.              > * I like porn a lot, though the jury's out on the effect of it on the       > mentality and self-esteem of the actors (females especially)              And it is a sin which will corrupt your soul in every way. If you're not       spiritual, then you know that it will at least cause you to see women as       objects rather than people, and that it will lower your sensitivity,       requiring much more to get you to perform your sexual duty. If you are       spiritual, then it is the kind of sinful behaviour which will cause you to       be rejected by God.              > * Cursing I can take or leave. On the Dexter TV series, one of the main       > characters slings the f-word around a lot. It does get old.              That's part of why I couldn't watch Casino with De Niro and Pesci. It was       constant. I managed to get through it, but even as a teenager I thought it       was much. I try to avoid movies or music that curse nowadays. In fact, I       cancelled cable partly to get away from such content. I only subscribe to       a sports channel to get my Montreal Canadiens games.              > * I like sex and violence and killing (especially revenge killing) in       > movies. Remember 'A History of Violence'? He killed 8 people       > closeup. Great stuff!              I recall watching the movie but don't remember much of it. That's part of       the problem with such movies: they lack substance and become forgettable.       Gladiator had violence too, but at least it had a story.              > It's very important to allow freedom of expression and speech, unless       > you're calling for physical violation of others.              I was very much for freedom of expression, but I'm admittedly lowering my       support for allowing broadcasters to put such stuff in any form of media.       Blacks are already a lost race as a result of their consumption of this       stuff, and even the smarter races have become increasingly unproductive       and immoral because of it. It's time for a proper reset through a return       to morality.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
