   No need for butthurt.   
      
   Just accept reality: it's a HUGE feat to get to #1 (in any market) in   
   the first place, but to stay there for 35 years is an incredible   
   accomplishment.

   Windows is preinstalled because that's what people demand.  And they   
   demand Windows because it hosts the world's best software, games and   
   hardware.   
      
   Why don't you build a dozen identical machines, put Linux on 1/2 and   
   Windows on 1/2 (raise the price to cover the license cost) and see which   
   machines sell.
