I used to watch a little bit of baseball in the 1980s, but I mostly loved
the rather great video games of the sport they released at the time.
Baseball Stars, in particular, was a gem. The moment the 16-bit era rolled
around and they made the video games needlessly complex, I tuned out of
both the game and the sport in general. I decided to get back into it last
summer, and the Blue Jays were coincidentally playing very well. I ended
up reminding myself why I loved it: the pitching. I am an absolute fan of
how those guys throw the ball around. I am also a fan of it as a summer
sport since it's relaxing, exactly what I need during that season.
