The area is short grass prairie so they probably used blue       grama and buffalo grass in the mix. The upper area is too arid to have       much of the way of wildflowers so they would be out of place if they even       survived.              The lower part does have flowers in the spring. The bad news is it's       mostly leafy spurge, an invasive species that Parks would like to       eliminate.
