   Yeah, I've suspected since last spring that China's interest in this   
   stuff (aside from the sheer appeal of getting to pants the entire US   
   tech sector in the Great International Waggling Contest) has as much to   
   do with its utility for mass generation of "truthy"-looking dis-   
   information as anything.   
      
   Still, it's hilarious timing to hear about this as Oracle is in the   
   process of ritually sacrificing itself on the altar of Your New Chatbot   
   God and the money men are starting to make uncomfortable noises about   
   how maybe they *don't* want to funnel endless billions of dollars into   
   something that doesn't make any real money forever. Great timing, guys;
