I recovered a Yamaha Seca seat with vinyl.

The contours weren't too complex and I managed a credible job using a heat
   gun and stapler.

Any photos I can find for the Corbin DR650 saddle look like they use vinyl
now. Mine is leather and where the nose angles up sharply for the
aftermarket tank there is a sewn seam. Next year I plan to put the stock
tank and saddle back on. My long ride days are over so I don't need the
extra fuel capacity. The stock seat was a torture device after a couple
of hundred miles to the Corbin wasn't that much better.
