   Personally both scp and "(cd foo && tar cf ... ) | ssh 'cd bar && tar xf -'"   
   more often than rsync.

   Again, this is a dubious opinion. It doesn't matter to me if they are   
   the same binary or not, "egrep" is a lot easier to type than "grep -E"   
   and fgrep has the same advantage.
