   There are many things I accept as magic or something I'm only going to dig   
   into if absolutely necessary. I wrote a couple of Windows utilities to run   
   periodically and log the state of the network. Without access to   
   Subversion I don't know when but it was a while back. Looking at the code   
   now I must have been inspired by the Gods. It's clear how it works but I   
   must have done a lot of research into the Windows API calls to get and   
   interpret information.
