   _Undetectable_ manipulation is impossible. Data doesn’t become immutable   
   just because there’s a signature on it.   
      
   In the specific case of journald: If you don’t want signed logs, you   
   don’t have to sign them. If you do have signed logs, you don’t have to   
   verify them if you don’t want to.
