Many LTS Linux releases backport kernel updates, esp. important security
patches. Sometimes multiple such updates show up in "quick" succesion. Not
often. They stay at a given base kernel resease for the duration of the LTS
release, but will update that kernel with backported upstream patches and will
add their own additional versioning when adding backported patches.
