   which is optimized to work efficiently on a wide range of hardware   
   configurations, including embedded ones.   
      
   When KDE 4 came out, I was able to run it with full 3D effects quite   
   comfortably on a single-processor 900MHz Celeron machine -- my Asus   
   Eee 701 netbook.
