See, this kind of esoteric complication is what puts off Windows users. They
much prefer the simplicity of going to all the different websites for all
the different vendors of all the different hardware and software they have
installed, to download new versions of all the different drivers and apps
and what-have-you, and install them in turn with a simple double-click on
the first one, click OK on the EULA that pops up without reading it, wait a
while for the install to finish, reboot the machine, then double-click on
the second one, click OK on the EULA that pops up without reading it, wait a
while for the install to finish, reboot the machine, double-click on the
   third one ...

... and after the last one is done and the system doesn’t work, fire up
REGEDIT to fix a Registry key or two, then reboot again and everything
becomes fine, assuming you haven’t completely hosed your system to the point
where you need to reinstall and start all over again.

Don’t you think that is so much more intuitive for your typical nontechnical
Windows user than having to resort to that horrible command line?
