      Even Mac users advocate these things (Linux storage appliances) once you   
   tell them that none of the systems blessed by Apple come with hot swappable   
   storage bays or even the possibility to retro-fit them.   
      
      Microsoft did have a RAID-ish feature of some possible interest in WHS   
   but for some strange reason they decided they were going to gut it and   
   remove it for the next version. Take shotgun, aim at foot, fire.
