   Well, the answer is that there is no official pc support for the kinect   
   - yet - from MS.   
      
   Rumors are plenty that windows 8 is going to have deep support for   
   kinect or at least kinect style devices.  Automatic person   
   recoginition, 3d gesture support, etc.   
      
   It is likely, I think, that much of this functionality - if the rumors   
   are true - will be back ported to windows 7.  Or maybe not :)
