   That seems to be true to some extent. However, one important difference is   
   that Android is Free Software, which means you can get a non-crapware-laden   
   copy from other sources and install that on your device. Unlike Windows,   
   where you have to pay a substantial premium to get an uncrippled “retail”   
   copy (as opposed to the limited, cut-price “OEM” copy that everybody gets   
   with their machines).   
      
   So I think Android customers will not exhibit quite the same sheeplike level   
   of behaviour with regard to crapware that we’ve seen with Windows customers.
