While you can theoretically install a 'clean' Android system on your
phone, some vendors go out of their way to make it annoying, and it's
not something that's super accessible to regular end users -- or that
they even know about for the most part, probably. So, this might allow
enthusiasts to get themselves a better user experience, but most people
are just going to end up suffering from whatever shoddy design decisions
   the handset vendor makes.
