   I thought the deal was done purely on business reasons. But looks like it   
   was more of a political issue

       Elop noted that going with Android would have solidified an Android-   
       Apple iOS duopoly. With Nokia being a swing vote, it went with creating   
       a third player.   
      
   Another big corporation makes the mistake of thinking it can second-guess   
   the market...
