This reviewer
was puzzled by spectacularly bad performance from the latest release
candidate of Microsoft Internet Explorer 9, until he realized he was running
the 64-bit version. Switching to 32-bit gave a major boost in performance.
Why? Because Microsoft is building the two versions with different
JavaScript engines. Still haven’t figured out 64-bit portability, eh...
