   Look at the success Framework has been having, with its upgradeable laptop   
   concept.

   But look at Apple’s range: if you want a reasonably-priced model, you have   
   to settle for less persistent storage, for example. You have to decide up   
   front how much of that you will need. That’s why upgrading the hard drive   
   or SSD is such a common aftermarket option.
