Before Windows 11 was released I joined the       Insiders dev channel to test code I was working on. My intent was to       install it on my backup Windows 10 box but somehow I wound up with it on       my main development box.              Mostly it was no problem although they did manage to break SQL Server on       one update. For some strange reason developers weren't too happy. It went       along for a couple of years without too many hiccups but then they split       the channels into 'dev' and 'canary' and I would up in some limbo where       the updates would fail. That wasn't a real problem since it still worked       but IT finally noticed I was running some weird outdated Win11 version and       I had to reinstall.              It wasn't as intense as running Rawhide and only updated every two or       three days.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
