Microsoft has trained its users to abhor updates since they often come
with unwanted changed to the operating system and worse performance.
Meanwhile, Linux users get such a kick out of updates that they're likely
to go into a terminal and run the update command manually in the hope that
one of their programs gained a feature, got a bug fix or got some sort of
code optimization. It's a very different environment. I hope having AI in
Notepad or helping you out in Mahjongg is worth the serious decrease in
   performance.
