   I thought Oracle acquired Sun for one reason and one reason only: to get   
   control of Java.   
      
   They also tried to make money off J2ME. Then Google found a way to take   
   the open-source version of J2SE and build a mobile smartphone platform   
   that left J2ME in the dust. Naturally Ellison was livid about that, and   
   found an excuse, any excuse, to sue.
