   RedHat have worked hard to make it impossible to use their Linux without   
   paying. In addition they do well because in order to comply with many   
   security policies you need supported software.   
      
   So unless you are the French Gendarmerie, who have their own Linux   
   Distro, you need to pay RedHat for support. Its not cheap
