   No, they started supporting Windows Phone very quickly. Those professional   
   pundits like Gartner and IDC predicted that it would dominate the   
   smartphone market after a couple of more years. That was the general   
   expectation, for quite a long while.   
      
   It took that long before reporters stopped treating Microsoft’s new mobile   
   announcements with the deepest respect, and started to realize that they   
   weren’t worth the electrons they were written on.
