   I would not consider Haskell, OCaml to ever have been in fashion.   
      
   Scala 2.0 in 2006, Rust in 2012, Swift in 2014, Java 8 in 2014,   
   Python 3.5 in 2015 (only type hint!), C++ 17 are more mainstream   
   and more recent.
