This usually works for RTL routines - assuming that the       routines are feature compatible. It's not that easy for non-literal RTL       data. But there is not much of such data in the VAXCRTL* images. Most of       the data symbol vector entries are literals. Such data can be defined in       the wrapper. All in all it should be possible.
