   I think it's usually only filled in if the hostname was found in   
   /etc/hosts, and it has aliases.  E.g. if /etc/hosts has a line like:   
      
   foo.bar.com 1.2.3.4 foo myfoo   
      
   and you look up foo.bar.com, h_aliases will contain "foo" and "myfoo".
