We just bought DECT       phones so I read up on that standard for a few minutes. Turns out a big       shot from Siemens had cajoled the FCC into relinquishing a 10MHz swath.       So Siemens could (theroretically) market their DECT phones here. Guess       what? When I shopped around the number of Siemens phones encountered was       zip, zero, zilch. Nearly all of them Panasonic (Japan) which we ended up       buying, some Uniden (Japan) and V-Tech (Hong-Kong).              --       Regards, Joerg              http://www.analogconsultants.com/              "gmail" domain blocked because of excessive spam.       Use another domain or send PM.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
