TCP/IP was designed in the 70's, and the Internet was started officially
in 1983. I was at one of the universities connected to the network when
it happened, when the ARPANET protocols were shut down and we started
using TCP/IP to operate the Internet. All the basic protocols were
designed by then, although there has been ongoing refinement and
enhancement over the decades since then.

Could you please point to the RFC's that you contributed to? I didn't
find any when I googled you.
