From: grahn+nntp@snipabacken.se              Stevens UNP vol 1 says (in the IPv4/IPv6 interoperability chapter)       that you may have one server socket handle IPv6 and IPv4 -- but only       as long as it binds to the wildcard address.              I want to have several different UDP servers listening on the same       port on a host, each of them listening on different interfaces, and       handling one IPv4 and one IPv6 address each (the two addresses on a       certain interface, I guess).              Stevens' book is a bit old by now. Has there been any development in       this area, so you can bind a socket to one IPv4 address and one IPv6       address? A Linux-only solution would be acceptable in my case.              (An obvious workaround for me is to use two sockets, but it means       quite a lot of code changes in my case.)              BR,       /Jorgen              --        // Jorgen Grahn |
