|    multithreaded server problem    |
|    09 Mar 10 22:49:36    |
From: johndoe64738@yahoo.com              I have an UDP server, that I split into "reading" and "writing" threads.       The "reading" threads pick up requests and change internal server state.       The "writing" threads then churn out packets based on this server state.       The problem is I don't know how many "reading" and "writing" threads to       spawn. Should there be more "reading" or more "writing" threads? What       does your experience suggest? How would you decide?              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
