   It isn't always easy.  The device might not send at all unless data   
   is coming in.  You can try a sniffer, though.  Sometimes there is   
   a serial port, or other non-TCP way to get the address.

   A sniffer will do, in addition to the problem that an ethernet   
   switch might not forward it to you.
