I can't strongly argue in the       field of data transmission because my knowledge there is extremely       poor, but in the presumably akin field of standardization of       programming languages I am personally very convinced that any       modification of the standard outside of a standardization organization       isn't a favourable undertaking for the benefit of the 'entire' user       community.              M.
