|    TCP flags - illegal combination: SYN+FIN    |
|    21 Nov 10 18:00:09    |
From: spam+newsgroups@bde-arc.ampr.org              Why is SYN+FIN considered illegal by most? RFC 793 doesn't outlaw it, and       RFC 1644 even demonstrates its usefulness (when accompanied by data), yet       many if not most (but not quite all) web pages that discuss "illegal TCP       flag" combinations for the purposes of implementing firewalls include this       combination as illegal. Why?              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
