|    MPLS    |

XPost: comp.dcom.lans.ethernet       From: mark_cruzNOTFORSPAM@hotmail.com              Hello              studying new for me material on MPLS, and have a few questions on it:       With my current understanding, to have mpls correctly run on a router, one       needs a routing protocol(s) on the same router, which will obtain prefixes       for routing table (for ex. OSPF). Now, MPLS operates with labels, but it has       to know about routes, right -- so that's where routing protocol is required,       am I on the right track?              The other thing is equal-cost paths: is this what MPLS can also obtain from       routing entities, or such information can be provided by label distributing       protocols, for ex. LDP ?              Thanks.                     Mark              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
