From: mark_cruzNOTFORSPAM@hotmail.com              Hello,              I'm trying to dive into these new concepts, SDN and OpenFlow. One thing that       is not clear to me, is how the traditional routing (OSPF, BGP etc.) done in       SDN, or it is completely gone and replaced with some lightweight mechanisms       instead?              I understand that by SDN design, switches/routers are becoming merely       forwarders with minimum intelligence, and the major work is done by network       controller(s) communicating with switches via OpenFlow protocol. But does       traditional routing still exists in and runs on controllers ?              I would appreciate any hints, links to get better understanding on this.       Thanks!              Mark              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
