|    TCP fast retransmit VS selective ACK    |
|    21 Apr 14 03:44:22    |
Hi all,              I'm trying to get a better picture of TCP,              I think I understand TCP fast retransmit / recovery, and the selective ACK       option.              What I'm wondering is, if you have TCP fast retransmit / recovery, why would       you need selective ACK ?       It appears it does the same thing at the end ?              I know selective ACK is negotiated at the start of the TCP session.       Is TCP fast retransmit/recovery a standard and use in all TCP sessions ?       Can both coexist together ? if yes, how ?              thanks for that       francois              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
