   I would say, don't talk about 40 col or 80 col text.  Just tell them the size   
   of the computer screen was really small back in the day.  Then show them the   
   IIc monitor or a picture of.  Kids these days are too used to using 65 inch   
   tv's hooked up to their    
   computer.  I don't know how I ever worked without one.  I have a 42 inch   
   hooked up and now I can sit 20 ft back and still be able to read the text.
