   Hi,   
      
   Many years ago I used an Apple II+ emulator simply called A2, by Rich   
   Skrenta. I forget exactly why but I haven't been able to get it to   
   compile under modern OS's. I'm blind, so most of the time I use the MAME   
   emulator with its Echo II emulation, but sometimes I just want to do   
   something quick, where I could easily use a quick and dirty, text   
   console emulator E.G. that writes all screen output to STDOUT or   
   similar. Does anyone know of such an animal in modern times?
