From: waynej...@gmail.com              Normal behavior?       I recently acquired a PAL IIe so I haven’t used it much. Plugging into a       NTSC monitor I get greyscale as expected. I’m using a Ramworks with VGA       extender for video and I upgraded it with enhanced ROMs & a 65C02. It passes       the self test. It boots off        5.25” floppy disks normally.       What I tried that works:       MDT, Vulcan, Apple Rev C, Hi-Speed SCSI, Booti, CFFA 3000, Superdrive card.       Problems with:       The Focus drive boots to the IIe startup screen and stalls there. If I do a       Control-Reset and type PR#7 it boots up normally. Same with two different       Focus cards. Tried different slots. With a Transwarp installed the Focus       drives work normally. Ramfast        SCSI cards rev C & D lock up when searching the SCSI bus. If I start from a       Ramfast utility disk I get to the Ramfast utility screen where it seems to       lock up. On the Ramfast rev C I’ve tried with the DMA off.       I recall mention that some cards had problems with the PAL IIe. Wondering if       this is one.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
